Doryu 2-16 Gun Camera no. 1027
Freeze!! I just want to take a picture of you with my Doryu 2-16 Gun Camera no. 1027! So say 'cheese'! =)
The Doryu 2-16 (ドリウ2-16型) is a pistol-shaped camera taking 16mm film, made from 1954 to 1956 by the Doryu company (certainly renamed Nihon 16-miri Shashin Kōgyō at some time). The 16mm camera is equipped with a built-in flash system, a bullet clip that holds five magnesium cartridges and a C-mount (like the one used in 16mm movie recorders). As you can see from the photos, it can be fitted with a variety of lenses.
The DORYU 2-16 pistol camera is said to only be created for police use, which makes sense as I think people may get a little hesitant if you pull a gun camera out of your pocket.
